Sophie Ndaba The Iconic Posh Queen Moroka

From 1992 to 2014 , our television screens were graced by this very gorgeous, bubbly , beautiful woman every weekday during primetime on SABC 1.It was one and only posh Queen Moroka on the long running television soapie Generations which is now known as The Legacy.

Sophie Ndaba initially auditioned for the role of Karabo Moroka but because her Setswana was not that good she lost the role to former Miss Botswana , Connie Ferguson. This plot twist just shows how the casting directors did well because they ended up creating an iconic role specifically for her.

Born in Soweto to South African parents who were originally from Kimberly and had experienced the worst education system due to apartheid, she was sent to an orphanage in the Eastlea suburban area in Zimbabwe to get a better education.It was soon after Zimbabwe had attained it’s independence and she went to a group A school.

She has always praised the Zimbabwean education system for helping her and that her good communication skills and good English is what helped  her get gigs in her early career.She even gave her children Zimbabwean names since the country is part of a beautiful chapter in her life.

After the famous 14 Generations Actors Fired scandal , she devoted herself to her events planning business and family.Years later she went back to acting and booked a role on SABC 3 hit television soapie Isidingo:The Need as the mother of Lerato and Kamo.She was even more hilarious when paired with her onscreen son in law Sechaba Moloi.

Sophie later faced so many challenges around 2018 when she was diagnosed with diabetes and her marriage at that time became a topic.Accusations were made and it involved her son and husband but that never stopped her from becoming better and well.

After her 50th birthday, she debuted a new look and shared her story to the public.This was to give hope to her fans that no matter the storm or waves in life , they is always calmness that will come at the end.She is in her winning era after experiencing a lot and is just living her healthy best life
